But I tot the child must get into an Independent School to qualify.
So if got by DSA, then will know, right?
But those who did not get by DSA, won't know yet until they get into IS, right?

No, all students who are eligible for EESIS will be informed together with their PSLE results, on that perforated note that was given to them.

So if you get into an independent school, you can use your EESIS. If you choose not to go to an independent school, you don't get to use it.

The note states that DS is eligible for EESIS cos he met the GEP promotion criteria, however his aggregate is 254. If the COP is 260, does it mean that he is eligible but will not be awarded EESIS after the posting result is out?

:?[/quote]As a GEP student who's been promoted to secondary GEP status, your son is awarded EESIS regardless of his aggregate. So if he chooses to go to an independent school, he will be entitled to EESIS even if the EESIS COP is higher than his aggregate.

          Hi all,

We try to find out what is this year (2011 PSLE) COPs for EESIS and top 10%. These info (up or down of COPs) can be used to estimate the COPs of top schools and 1st tier O level schools. This will help parents and kids to make their choices.

EESIS is awarded to the top 3%. If you are eligible to take 3rd Lang (French, German & Japanese) then you are at top 10%. last year EESIS and top 10% COPs were 260 and 249 respectively.

My DD's friend got 262 and she got the EESIS. Anyone has a lower score than this and still got the EESIS? Please share.
d other useful info would be d intake size of each IP school.
          Anybody?

I wanted to say 257, but then I’m in GEP.

I got 257 can take Third Lang too. If I’m in GEP, does that count?

u meet d top 10% criteria for 3rd lang, regardless of ur GEP status.

Lets get some numbers in here to help those P6 KSPs n kids make a more informed selection for S1:

                1. Total 2011 P6 cohort = 45,261
                2. EESIS COP = 260
                3. Top 10% COP = 250?
                4. Intake size of each IP school?

OK so it is clear that the EESIS COP is at 260. This implies that the COPs of top IP schools should maintain more or less the same, at most +/- one point.

2nd step: Anyone with the score of 249 and given the choices of 3rd lang?

Is your DS a Singapore citizen? The EESIS is for Singaporean only.

Yes, Of course he should apply for RI. I don't see any reason why not? But I prefer he chooses HCI (becoz I m HCI supporter 😂 ).
