      2) NJC
      3) VS IP
      4) DHS
      5) ACSI
      6) VS O level

If HCI is your dream school, go ahead and put it as your first choice. If he doesn't get into HCI, they'll consider him for NJC. If he still can't make the cut for NJC they'll consider his third choice etc. I see you've put DHS as your 4th choice. If he doesn't make it to VS IP it's highly unlikely that he'll get into DHS bec DHS' COP was 257 last year. So basically, make sure you have very safe options for your 5th and 6th choices.

My DD scored 249+2. We intend to put Cedar as her 1st choice. Do you think if she stands any chance? Her choices in sequence are:-

          1) Cedar (not sure if IP or non-IP)
          2) St Nicholas
          3) Chung Cheng High
          4) SCGS
          5) TKGS
          6) Crescent Girls

Any recommendation or suggestion in the order sequence?

Hi, I would to ask, do you know what is the highest COP for RGS in the recent years?

            263 - 2009 Sec 1 intake
            260 - 2010 Sec 1 intake
            260 - 2011 Sec 1 intake

I do not know previous to that, sorry. But there could be others here who might know.

BTW, there are a few people missing this year, esp 25hourmaid. Last year I was a silent reader and remember her advising and guiding a lot of students and parents. Also where are Vanilla_cake, brenda10, lizawa, verykiasu2010... :boogie:

Unlikely to get into HCI, so drop it. If u are prepared to travel place NJC as top choice follow by VS IP and DHS. If distance is a consideration, move VS iP to top follow by DHS.

:? Why unlikely to get into HCI? COP 2010 is 257. He has 257+2 , should have high chance.[/quote]Yes, I too don't understand why is HCI unlikely for 257+2?
              2009 - 259
              2010 - 257
              2011 - 257

But in 2009 most school COPs were higher than 2010 COPs, meaning COPs dropped by 2-3 pts for 2010 sec 1 intake. Some rose in 2011, but HCI remained same for 2010 and 2011. So if the child is keen on the school with 257+2, I think should give it a go. Also I feel NJC COP may drop a bit this year as they have given out lesser than normal DSA offers, which opens up more vacancies for Sec 1 posting. šŸ˜„

Watch out for the travelling time which is more than 2 hrs in yr 5 at VJC. A- level exam which is exceedingly far more critical, she does not hve the luxury of spending so much time on the road. At this juncture, u may be just thinking of IP, but do consider the the longer term implication.

My opinion is ST. Nicks is a better proposition and if she does well, can consider switching to NJC IP at yr 3. Given her T-score, taking 0-level and exceling at it will provide her with more confidence taking her A-level.

Tisha, I think vk2010 must be on a biz trip. No noise from him these couple of days. šŸ˜‰

If I'm not mistaken, there were the days when the COP for RGS & NYGH were around 265-266. A few years before the 2009. I'm not about to go on a search for proof on this, but this is what I recall....maybe some parents who've had kids taking PSLE around that time period can remember?
