268 = can go any school for your son except NYGH and RGS, even 299 oso cannot get in for your son

That's my impression too. Out of the 50% given during DSA, most seem to be via academic domain.

Good analysis. One additional data point is that approximately 50% of the above 1800 vacancies have already been taken up during DSA. I would estimate that 70% to 80% of those DSAed into these 4 schools have PSLE scores around or above 260. What is your take?

Don't worry, your ds should get his first choice. Compared with last year, the top PSLE score this year is very similar and more importantly it has the same cutoff for EESIS. Hence the COP for the top schools this year should be very similar to last year.

they could not fill up 2 classes of sports class, in 2011 only one class, plus some dispersed among the rest (high t-score)

For RI, there are those who entered through music, art and other talents. They don't go to the sports class, so DSA students with lower than 260 is higher than what we see in the sports class.

So non-DSA will be around 800 seats left going by this argument. Plus they reserve a few seats for returning Singaporeans and foreign scholars... :skeptical:
