I overheard today during the conversation between parents and the teachers that their students did well in their current final examinations.

But I think you should schedule your DD for a diagnostic test with the Mighty Math teachers. You can find out if the program suits your DD.

Will this program be useful for kids who join them when they are in their upper primary? (Not too late?)

I have seen many older kids with the program when i sent my DS to class.
You shld call them for a free diagnostic assessment.
I also overheard that one of their student has been selected for GEP… hope my DS can also be selected one day…

Do they have programmes for P1? Many many ctrs dont have. What is Heuristics? Is it a topic in Math? Or a programme? Will the school teach because I look through the school text book and cannot find HEURISTICS in the text book.


My child is going to P1 next year and I am a but ‘kan cheong’. I wanted to give him a head start in his studies. He has been with Berries and enjoying the class. Now I am looking for English and Math.

Any recommendations mommies?

At Punggol Blk 176 branch, I have seen primary school kids, so I think they definitely have P1 classes.

As for term "Heuristic", I dont think there’s such a chapter in the textbook to cover this topic. I learnt this from my DS teacher, Stella, and according to her, it refers to the different problem solving techniques that can be applied to work out the story sums.

If you do a search on the net, some primary schools even conduct such workshops for their parents to teach kids the heuristic techniques.

Is Mighty Math offered under Lorna Winston? Cos when I went to Lorna Wisnton, I saw that they have Math programme - known as Mighty Math
