Anyone with anything extra to add ?
Hope the boy is OK. -
Oh dear. Hope the boy’s alright.

Always because of staring incident. The youth these days think they own the world and can do whatever they want.

So that’s what happened yesterday. My sis did mention about a stabbing incident but could not confirm if there was any casualty. Oh dear, I hope the boy is alright. Will check out and post if I can find out any information.

What is wrong with our youths? Incidents like this make me a paranoid mother when DS goes out with his friends.

I told my children the same thing that my father told me when I was a kid. There are kids out there who wanted to act brave in front of their friends. So, avoid going out in crowds, especially for boys (maybe not so true these days) cos a group of boys/girls attract attention from the Bengs and Lians. You may not even be looking at them. Sometimes these Bengs and Lians want to show-off/don’t like your face, or happen to want to proof that they can dare to beat and kill someone.
My brother came back from UK last year after spending a long time there. He said he chose to come back cos in UK the youths are carrying knives everywhere. He didn’t realise Singapore is heading down that path. -
According to news report 5 youths age between 15 to 17 already arrested over the incidence.
The RI boy is reported to be in stable condition. -
ST News at 9.30pm:
Police have arrested five teenagers aged between 15 and 17 who are believed to have attacked two other youths, including a Raffles Institution student who was stabbed.
A staring incident could have triggered the attack which took place in broad daylight. Raffles Institution student Anand Ravindran, 17, was stabbed in the back by the knife-wielding teenagers at the void deck of Blk 122 Potong Pasir Ave 3 on Thursday afternoon.
He is recovering in the high dependency ward at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. According to one of his teachers, his condition has improved and he is able to talk now.
His friend, 17-year-old Don Tan, escaped with a bruise on his right eye where he was punched.
