From what I know most other schools try to arrange cca and lessons to end to meet sch bus timing or vice versa

OIC, 5.45 is kind of odd timing, too early for working parents to fetch and possible public transport may be too crowded. So if there is school transport would solve this headache.

For such day, the kids normally stay at the void deck or canteen to do their homework or go kick football to exercise and relax a bit while waiting for their parents to fetch them after work. By P5 & 6, some usually walk to the bus stop outside school gate to take a bus home.

My DD would be transferring to NYPS. Not too sure if I should buy all the textbooks, expecially for the Maths, since they should have a lot of handouts from the school. Anyone cares to share?

Dun need to buy any textbooks. Notes/handout/worksheet will be issued for all subjects.

Yes, still remember my ds carry an empty bag with pencil case and water bottle to school for quite some days. :rotflmao: First few days are orientation days.

Does this advice aPply to all of us or just those from NYPS? :)[/quote]We received a letter from NYPS informing us that briefing and school tour will be held on 30th Dec. Also included in the letter are book list & stationery list as well as uniform and school bus contact details.

DH is very kan cheong and everyday bugs me on the booklist. Last night cannot tahan anymore and place the order (with some textbooks) with Pacific. :stompfeet:

My son got into Rosyth. When we visited the holding site in AMK, we were told that there will be no orientation due to having just moved in. Was told to buy books, uniforms and turn up at the porch on the 3rd next month. When we got home, we realized that we didn’t buy the report book and order the embroidered name for school shirt. So that’s going to be another trip.

Does anyone know how many classes there will be for GEP next year for P4? And also how many kids from Rosyth got into GEP? Just curious…!

Has anyone received any letter from the respective GEP schools that your DS/DD gotten in ? So far, I didn’t received any, so I am wondering what’s next, except that we are to report to school on 3rd Jan with the report card. My DS current school insists that we give them the original MOE letter to be kept by them before they release my DS’s report card. Is that so ? I tot the letter was addressed to us, parents ?

NYPS has briefing on 30 Dec at 9am - 11am. Classes will be assigned. Parents & students (in school uniform) to attend.
