is the whole concert entitled Alice In Wonderland or izit js my DD's performing item?

if that's the case, i dun even know what is the name of the item DD is performing in.. :scratchhead:

i paid $72 for the costume... better be dazzling in front of my eyes... 😉

i'm taking it as another round of exposure for DD for her performance... the 1st time she performed was during last year Xmas, in a piano cum singing concert at Seimpi Music...

yes these ballet rehearsals are tiring but when i managed to peep into her lessons, i found that she can really follow instructions well & danced gracefully for her age, i find it rewarding.

yes, felt the same way too.

ballet Teacher Xu feedback that all our girls are happy & excited. They take the dance learning steps seriously, so that all can sychronize and dance in unison steps together to bring out the story theme, lovely music & choreography.

was gratified to hear this, good exposure & learning experience for them, at tender young age.

                  hi poppy,

did you collect your daughter's costume ? how does it look like ?

my girl's costume is sleeveless lime green & white. also got pair of white fairy wings attached onto dress. hand accessories made of dried flowers.

btw, the paper said No flash photography nor video recording permitted during the performance. sad 😢 :frustrated:

                  both days (Fri & Sat):-
going to be long hours for us. report 1 pm, dismiss 10.30 pm.
make sure bring enough food & drink for your girl to eat.

                    His mummies,

It rewarding to see the girls performing after so much hardwork. Extremely tiring for mummies n the kids as hours are long.

No doubt the teachers put in a lot of effort so should applaud for them. But the logistics by Sch are terrible:
                    1. Food not suitable for young child below 6, black pepper sphgattie
                    2. Did not recognise first time parents will be worry, no briefing on what is all abt to prepare them emotional
3.1 wk before performance then inform parents that we have to do make-up n bun up their hair ??? Mummy has to take leave, no experience - stress
                    4. 1 wk before, costume n shirt. $75 - great no choice but to pay
                    5. Not all mummies inform of Sch volunteer scheme is opened for registration
                    6. no sympathy of parent’s anxiety with kids as young a 4 so will want to care for them
                    7. Venue is not convenient
                    8. No cafe for parents to get food while waiting or buy other food for kids.
                    9. Security is lax
                    10. Hours are too long for young ones …

stay from 1 pm until 10.30 pm - are too long hrs for 4 yrs old. hence, very tiring for both poor child & mummies. Those in Pri & Sec school still ok, because they are more mature.

actually for 4 yrs old - they should not make these poor kids remain behind, stay up all the way until the Grand Finale. The older ones can stay behind for Grand Finale, it’s all right for older children. but not for young toddlers.

last night (1st night) catered packet dinner was good. They cater dinner for about 450 dance students (from Yishun & Macpherson), aged from PG to Upper Secondary. noticed that many children had good appetite, ate fried rice with sausage hungrily. my girl finished 3 quarter of dinner pkt last night. After makan, teachers entertain small kids inside the lecture theatre - ask them do coloring, wait for their turn. When it’s their turn to perform the dance item, then they line up & go to the Khoo auditorium to perform in front of audience.

but for tonight dinner (2nd night) - noticed that not many young kids hardly touch pepper spagetti. mabye because of pepper, or they don’t like spagetti. end up parents ate the peper spagetti instead, sitting downstairs at SCGS canteen. And because young child like 4 yrs old couldn’t eat dinner (pepper spagetti), saw some parents drove their kids out elsewhere in the rain to eat dinner around 5.15 pm, then rush back latest by 7 pm, before the last performance began at 7.30 pm. Food wise - agree that food selected has to be suitable, esp. for young children.

but the 2.5 hrs dance programme was great ! It was a success!
the youngest age to perform was the cute, lovely & adorable PG / N1 group (3 yrs old) - ‘Minnie mouse’ item.
