      Ms Lee buys some sweets.
If she gives each pupil 5 sweets, she is left with 16 sweets.
If she gives each pupil 8 sweets, she is short of 5 sweets.
How many pupils does Miss Lee have?

      Thanks!!

          Is that 8_3/5=168R3
          168 is the quotient
          3 is the remainder
          168*5=840
          840+3=843
          so the answer is 4

Oh!! Thanks! Thanks! Another question, for P3 Level is it usually just to find 1 missing digit? Will the kid be tested on 2 missing digit instead of 1?

              U r welcome!
Usually they asked the number.I think,P3 kid should be able to give the number.Asking missing digit is easier version. For the starting they asked like that then the difficulty go up.

Can someone teach me how to do this question using model?

Billy has 45 storybooks more than Quanhui.
Vincent has 23 fewer books than Billy.
The three children have 247 storybooks altogether.
How many storybooks do Billy n Vincent have altogether?

Need help on the following question :

50 children were at a party.
Each boy ate 10 jelly beans while each girl ate 7 jelly beans.
All the girls ate 44 more jelly beans than all the boys.
How many boys and how many grls are at the party?

Other than Guess & Check method, which other method can we use to solve this?
