Hi, ngbrdad, thanks for the information. Seems like to take this TAG class offer is the better choice.

If you receive the letter inviting your kid to join the twinning system, take it.

Yes, have submitted the reply sheet to take the offer. Thanks for the advise.

Hi, may I know for those in GEP, they are in the TAG class right ? Or is there a GEP class ? What's the difference in twinning class, TAG class & GEP class ? To me, it seems to be the same group of students :?

The kids have TAG and form classes. They are mixed into G,J,K 3 classes for Chinese, research work , Music, Art, PE etc.

They are broken up into TAG 1 (twinning), TAG 2 and TAG 3 (GEP) for English, Math, Science.

So am I right to say those in GEP will be in TAG 2 (Class J) & TAG 3 (Class K) ? Twinning is TAG 1 (Class G) ? How about those taking HCL ? They will be split into CL & HCL even though if they are from the same class, eg. TAG 3 (Class K), some will go to join other classes when they are having HCL ? My DS ex-school does that.
TAG 1 is twinning and TAG 2 and 3 are GEP is correct.
But G,J,K are mixed form classes ie have both twinning and GEP students.
They all do HCL in p4 as it's a SAP school.
From P5 onwards, some will do CL. The Chinese classes have both twinning and GEP students.
They sit for the Chinese/HCL papers set by the GE branch, different from other students in the same school.

Sorry, a bit confused, I am new to Nua Hua & GEP, trying to find out more.

That's correct.
It takes a while to get use to it. πŸ˜‚

And this is for Nan Hua only.
Other schools have their own system.

CCA is on either Tuesday or Wed. Not sure about timing. should be 2 or 2.30pm

Friday is CEP
Thursday is enrichment
That was the timing for my DS1 for P4 GEP 3 years ago.
What they learn from CEP? learn to program or use microsoft office
?

Hi,

Most of the homework are for Chinese. Sometimes, they do have Science, Maths or English homework, but it's not very often. If there is homework for the day, my son will usually take about half an hour or less to complete them. However, there are days when he has homework for multiple subjects - then he will take about an hour or so to complete them - but this only happens occasionally. So the homework is quite manageable. Mostly, the work is done during school hours.

Oops! Sorry! I'm talking about P4 homework. For P3, it is also very manageable - maybe just a little bit less than P4 load. I remember there were some days when there was no homework. This is one thing that I like about the school πŸ˜‰
