Do you like your job?
-
At least now I know I m not alone. I m not sure if I can tolerate any longer but will try for the sake of money. Like what cherrygal says economy not doing well now. But if an opportunity comes along, I won’t hesitate. I have to give 3 months notice though. When you meet a lousy boss at least you need nice colleagues, life won’t be so bad. But when your colleagues are so-so then all the more you will feel alone.
Cherrygal yr friend is really amazing. How does she tolerate for 3 years!!! Do you mind revealing her position? Marketing, accounts, PR??? -
Vividlaurel, hope you find something you like. Luckily I m in sales, so I can still go out and don’t have to face them the entire day. Sometimes I just wonder is it because they think they are in a superior position so they have every right to be rude. But for people they need, you see them using a different tone.

hi peapot
My fren is now in HRIS, Info Tech but dealing in HR systems. She cannot tahan the HR team’s micro-managing mindset coz she was from IT depts in her previous companies. -
You mean everything also under scrutiny? No leeway? If that is case, it’s not aim at her it would be applying to everybody.

Hi peapot, yes...i still post lah.
Wa!! Carebear, no long no see. You hardly post these days. You still remember me?carebear:
Aiya, just quit and be your own boss.
Then you don't have to see other people's face.
In different places eg psle, domestic.
This year less posts, you are right, cos of DD psle, and now maidless for the past 1 week.
Still remember you, of course
!
How's your Japanese?
It is bad that you have a lousy boss.
If you think the money is good then stay on till you get a better deal.
Most of us work for the money, right?
Just be glad that you are not the sole bread winner of your family! -
Hi peapot,
Ditto! I think it's more of an attitude problem. In my case, I'm the only one with a flexible arrangement so everyone resents it. What they don't understand is that I have taken a salary cut to be able to leave early - they think I am privileged somehow!
Our boss sits remotely in another part of Singapore and was not in charge of hiring me, so also doesn't like it when I leave early. They are forcing me to go full-time now, but this is not something I am comfortable with since it would mean having meetings which start at 5 and go on till late. Since my dh is in a position where he comes home late, I am very conscious of the fact that I should be there for my ds and dd.
You know there are days when I don't talk to anyone in the office, except for work-related stuff! (Sigh) miss my old office where things were so much more friendlier...
Am so glad I have this space to vent!! Thanks for hearing me out...peapot:

vividlaurel, that’s true I missed my ex-colleagues as well except for the boss. Infact, I m still intouch with them. In any company, I always think having a good boss is important. They set the role model and culture in the company.
If your company cannot accept you leaving early, then you should think about leaving. At this stage of our life, our children take priority. come to the forum and talk to us often. Sometimes, I feel like having an outlet to release stress too. -
Carebear,
No time for Japanese yet. PSLE…hearing this alone can cause stress. Hope your gal managed to get into her school that she wants. So this Dec holidays, you should be very reeeeeeelax…
