My boy is born 2009. After reading so many forums, am feeling the stress already and thinking where to place him for his pri sch.

First choice is nan chiau - planning to join Hokkien clan (yes, I’m Hokkien! Praise the Lord!) but we stay >2km from nan chiau. So need to shift house which we have intention cos need bigger space for our 2 kids. I know still difficult to get in but would love it for my boy to have a good foundation from pri sch. However, also worried that he may be too stress.

2nd option - river vale pri. I heard that this school is also quite good but have not done any research yet. Anyone can advice on this school?

Actually we stay just behind Mee Toh, but I’m not comfortable to send my kids there due to their religion linkage (no offense).

Just wondering any parents with kids in nan chiau and river vale, can advise how ur kid is enjoying school or feeling the stress?

Since you stay within 1 km, you will definitely be able to participate in the balloting. However, it is still better to prepare for your Plan B or even Plan C.

If nan Chiau is ur 1st choice, go for phase 2c. If still nt successful, go to ur choice 2/3.

Really need some advise here.

My boy is born 2009, and we stay in Punggol.

Very interested to try nan chiau primary (planning to join Hokkien huay kuan), but we stay just 2.1KM from nan chiau, thus need to move. But this doesn’t guarantee a spot, so we are in a fix whether to move or not.

Or try either compassvale or rivervale (may I know which is rank higher in terms of academic)? Distance wise it’s within 2km.

Please advice!

Try hokkien huay kuan if either you or your hubby is hokkien.
