You are the first mummy, I know, who post that you are enjoying the school hols becos your kids are home 😂

Pls share your magic portion with me 😂

During school terms how to bring kids out and coach them as I sent DD1 and DS1 to full day kindergarten. Even now during the hols, I hope the days are longer as I have so much things to do with them (\",)

      :salute:

Think you are the kind of mother who can handle many kids. I'm the kind who's struggling with my 3 and their age gap is wider than yours

Some of my friends send kids to enrichment classes but I don’t as weekends are very precious to me to bond with my children.I also don’t buy assessment books for my kids as they are usually too easy or difficult. I still coach them though, but my own way. Maybe that reduces the stress I face.

          It’s not related to enrichments.

Maybe it’s becos I’m with them 24/7 except when the older ones go kindy, which is a few hrs, so I just need a breather.

Hi morning, great to know there's a club here for parents with more than 3 kids. I have 4, eldest is 5. All accident leh... Very lousy at control hor... Lol

Hi! Very envious that you're a beauty with 4 kids! :please:

Like you, ours are all unplanned accidents cept for buds_chubs,
our first-born son who is our #3. His existence was an ambush attack! But now if u ask, we dont know what we'd be without him. Our house is very lively with his laughter... and wailings, of course. Our 1st two are girls. Big liao.

It's buds_hubs fault that he's just nvr good taking care of my \"eggs\".. and it's my fault I am nvr great at guarding my fortress. Double dinger huh..

Need to ask the parents how you coach yr kids. Together or one at a time? Which way you find more effective?

Hi all, can’t remember if I’ve posted here but my status right now is SAHM with 4 kids, dd1-13yo, ds-11yo, dd2-7yo and dd3-4mths. Dd3 just barged into our lives but we are all enjoying her and dh has decided to spoil her already and will be giving all his money to her:)

I used to homeschool my 3 older ones for pre-school. Taught the 1st 2 together i.e. read aloud to them tog. When teaching dd1, ds would be hanging around and learning and whispering the math answers into my ears. If he is not interested, he would just be nearby playing with his toys or solving jig-saw puzzles. Dd2 was the most difficult to ‘teach’ as she would complain story boring. She also complained of having only 2 friends to play with, so I sent her to K2 from term 2 onwards. Then in P1 this yr, she complained tt I din teach her many nursery rhymes or songs like Old MacDonald - think she felt embarrassed not knowing them.

To answer beauty’s qn, I have school time together though may be doing different things at different level. However, I taught dd2 alone as by then, the elder 2 would be in school already.

When I coach my kids one at a time, my Other kids will distract us. Even when I hide in the room with one kid, they will bang at the door wanting to come in too.do you have to deal with this?

I will ask DS to wait for his turn, he will flip through storybooks that are lying around the house or do something else, as for bb, I will carry her or get something to distract her.

For me it took some time to establish the routine and sometimes I get mad too when the younger ones disturb 😄
