vividlaurel, that’s true I missed my ex-colleagues as well except for the boss. Infact, I m still intouch with them. In any company, I always think having a good boss is important. They set the role model and culture in the company.

If your company cannot accept you leaving early, then you should think about leaving. At this stage of our life, our children take priority. come to the forum and talk to us often. Sometimes, I feel like having an outlet to release stress too.

Peapot, so true! Many times I've seen that some employees take their cues from the boss and when he behaves badly with an employee, those other employees follow suit. Saw it happen to an ex-colleage...

I think in my heart, I'm set on leaving. Am going on leave for two weeks from next week, so once I am back in the new year, will start looking for better jobs. Hope get one soon, can't stand this place for too long. :xedfingers: 🙏

Last time in a Japanese company, the CEO’s message is, you are not expected to enjoy working… If you enjoy working, then you would be paying entrance fee whenever you go to work (like amusement park) instead of receiving a salary.

You are paid to work, not paid to enjoy… So… You don’t like your job? That’s the way it should be.

have to give 3 months notice though.

                  :yikes: 3 months notice?!
I thought my company already bad enough, need 2 months notice.

Like that, how to find job?
Difficult to find companies that are willing to wait for you, 'cause mostly just 1 month notice only.
Now I just waiting for bonus... after that maybe try my luck also.. heh.

Can't stand the office politics sometimes and I'm the only one in this position.. *sigh*

                    People join companies.

                    People leave managers / bosses.

                    It’s a quote I heard from a seminar trainer. It’s so true.

I was in a job that required 3 months’ notice too. The only way is to get another company to buy you out. That could mean zero notice too! That’s what I did but it burnt bridges lah… hahaha

I feel very sad today. I m now 5 months into my new job and I really can't stand my boss. I thought leaving my previous job would leave me with better environment. I guess I was very wrong.

Every company that we join will have their own set of problems! If I quit now it would mean I m a job hopper. Do you guys face problem at work especially people's problem?
i guess to stay long in a company one not only have to close one eye but both eyes and ears... one more thing is not to compare too much on benefits, salary and perks.... everyone is born different so the rewards i think is also different....
