Last time in a Japanese company, the CEO’s message is, you are not expected to enjoy working… If you enjoy working, then you would be paying entrance fee whenever you go to work (like amusement park) instead of receiving a salary.


You are paid to work, not paid to enjoy… So… You don’t like your job? That’s the way it should be.

Difficult to find companies that are willing to wait for you, 'cause mostly just 1 month notice only.
Now I just waiting for bonus... after that maybe try my luck also.. heh.

I was in a job that required 3 months’ notice too. The only way is to get another company to buy you out. That could mean zero notice too! That’s what I did but it burnt bridges lah… hahaha

i guess to stay long in a company one not only have to close one eye but both eyes and ears... one more thing is not to compare too much on benefits, salary and perks.... everyone is born different so the rewards i think is also different....

I found the link below by chance. It is a salary calculator to see how much you are getting compared to others of same age group and gender in Singapore.

I didn't think there was a need to compare before but this calculator did help me feel better. Its also interesting to know men in Singapore are still getting paid more than the women.

Just for the fun of it, check out the salary calculator! I did it to make myself feel better. My gal would probably reply \"how lame!\"

This tool not accurate lah… coz the median will get pulled down by the really low income earners. It’s not comparing with people who have the same educational level. I checked for females and the median is quite low. Getting above 50% is not satisfactory at all. For females earning above $10K, they belong to top 6% of the female population here.
