PSLE - New Format for Maths

DD's ans - geometry 150 deg (4marks)

last qn - 46 (sm classmates got 68 ) (5 marks)
speed qn - completely wrong 1.25pm (3 marks)

the last two questions are 4 marks each. pretty unusual.

Hi YGMama, the answer you put for last question of Booklet A is wrong, I think. The answer is supposed to be 17/36 NOT 17/35…

What is the likely A* mark this years's PSLE Maths after moderation?

A friend of mine whose child took the 2007 Maths paper, reputedly 'very difficult' like this year's, was sure he had lost at least 12 marks. He managed an A* and so, my humble 'guesstimate' is high 80s for an A* this year.

I’m still wondering if the t-score will be capped at 75 per subject . Or if there’s no cap, then difficult papers like Math may see the t-score going up into the 90s.

A friend of mine whose child took the 2007 Maths paper, reputedly 'very difficult' like this year's, was sure he had lost at least 12 marks. He managed an A* and so, my humble 'guesstimate' is high 80s for an A* this year.

In 2008 PSLE, many of my students get A* for PSLE Maths, this year with the \"tough paper\", I look forward to see what/how is the spread of A*/A distribution attained. Everyone is waiting (nervously) for 25 Nov.

Base on the level of difficulty, I think A-star will be 75 and above while A will be 60 to 75.

My friend’s child psle agg score : 257, 4 A* --few years back. Many of us was quite surprise. Cos some score 267 only with 3 A* and an A.
