Hi Rylee, if I'm not wrong, I don't think other shops sell them. It's better to get them from the school because several items are required, such as badge, tie, socks, PE attire, uniform, house vest etc. So it's less confusing if you get them from school.

My DS's command of English is only so so, how much help from the teachers are we looking at?

Hi CandyHeart, regarding English, the teachers are generally quite good. If your DS has any questions, I'm sure the teachers will be able to answer them. The standard of english in VS is good.

Hi stressedoutmummy, perhaps the textbooks? I think he'll do fine though even without the early prep. He could work on his fitness for the sec 1 orientation camp - there's a 2.4km run during the camp!

I was wondering...if the best students all move towards IP, the bell curve will favour the good students who are still taking the O levels (with RI, HCI out of the picture). Will those in VS taking the O level route benefit from this trend, since they would supposedly be one of the best among all taking the O levels?

Not only VS \"benefit\", other schools which has been doing very well in O Levels include CHS, St Nicks, SCGS, etc. All these schools will be offering IP + O Level route come 2012.

So those who would have been in the middle or upper middle range will now come in tops in O levels. Comforting thought for those who missed out on IP, perhaps?
