hmmmm, I'm using the Wink programme, and right/total brain training can be done even as an adult. 😄 It just needs more effort.

Before Wink, I signed up with SM, when DD1 was 2.5yos, and there were kids who were older as first time sign ups. Someone with a child who was 5 or 7yos old asked the P if it was too late and her replied was no, sometimes it might be faster in certain area.

After I dropped from SM, I looked around for other programmes and found Wink.

One very simple activity to \"activate\" the right brain is to use your left hand, like combing and stuff.

I attended a talk and the window of learning is more like 12yos then 3yos. The beginning age is easier, less effort but does mean older cannot benefit.

I'm still learning along the way.

There's 2 part, Tweedle Wink and Wink. Tweedle Wink is for 0 - 6yos, DVD of flash cards, including eye exercise, \"speed reading\", imaging. Right brain training.

The 2nd part if wish to con't is Wink prog, for 6yos to above (adult). This is total brain training as the right brain bridge over to the left brain and to keep the right brain window open. Here are the alpha waves CD, photographic memory training, speed reading training, imaging training, etc.

If start at young age, when the right brain is totally open, all input if done in loving way will be stored in the right brain like a library. which is why some would refer to as encylopaedia of knowledge. To make sense of it, will need the left brain. Both brain has diff functions.

The programme emphasis on love for the child and all lessons carried out in a loving and stress free way will obtain optimal results and max the child's potential. The emphasis is always Relationship before Results.

The training stated above would indicate the benefits, I guess, but the intangibles ones if done correctly would be a healthy relationship, a highly motivated child who loves to learn. However, you do not need the prog to raise a highly motivated child of course. Sometimes, I think the prog is like a parenting tool 😂

The prog can be bought locally at the Maha Yuyi shop (Children's book shop) at Bras Basah Complex. During book sales, the product might be on sale. I bought it during sales. I bought both products and there's also a book to help use the products and can ask questions via the rightbrainkids website if encounter queries on how to carry out the lessons.

This is their website http://www.rightbrainkids.com/ You can explore more to find out more.

I'm not sure if I have answered your question. The bottomline is parents must believe in the programme. It does not mean success or not if do not have right brain training. It's like choosing pre-school, some prefer montessori, some prefer others. But it does not mean one is more superior than the other. I have stopped for awhile since the birth of bb. My new year resolution is to start again in Jan 2012 😂

Don't worry, it's ok to not go for it. All a child needs is love to blossom 😄
