Only 14% of their projects have exited. Majority of their projects launched in the last 10 years have not exited. I am surprised that they do not provide annual update of the project status. -
With the current economical situation, I doubt there is good prospect for real estate development.

Always? I know of plenty who have been burnt in real estate. Also, just look across the pacific to the hundreds of thousands of foreclosures in the US.
Its like any other investment, upside/downside, and risk management. -
I am not sure. Is it some property agents getting worried and wanting to get rid of properties still in their hands?

There is no such thing as to which investment option is better. All investment options have their risks and rewards. Even someone nvesting in very safe Singapore government bonds and assured of a fixed return stands the risk of the sum invested being eroded by inflation higher than the rate of return.
All investment options are cyclical in nature. Some cycles are quite short while others can be very long, even decades. Gold is an example, the price being depressed for more than decade before rising up strongly in the current cycle over the past few years.
Those in the high risk/reward category get rewarded handsomely during peaks and suffer heavy losses during troughs. Real estate is in this category.
The trick thus is to ride the cycles to your benefit. Alas this is easier said than done. -
