Help needed - Feedback on Myo Vision lenses

Need your advice. I have just brought my next year P2 girl for an eye check-up at the optical shop. Used to have her eye checked at Health Promotion Board but they tell me that from P2 onwards they do not perform the eye check-up anymore. We will need to have it done at the optical shops.
We were given 2 different prescriptions at 2 different optical shops which is very confusing. Some also recommended us Myo vision lenses which supposedly can slow down the increase in short-sightedness.
Can I seek your feedback on the Myo vision lenses if your kids are wearing them?

According to my P4 boy, he started on Myovision lens July 2010, right 250 degree n left 150 degree. Last week, he went for a check, right 275 n left 225.
The optician said the increase is considered reasonable.
His next pair of specs will be using Myovision lens again.

I supposed by forcing the child to shift his head in order to position his eyes directly (in a straight line) to the object he wants to look at sharply reduces the lazy eyes occurrence.
But, the specs frame has to be pitched on the nose at the proper position (as when tested to hv the specs made). My P4 boy sometimes complained of not sharp images when the frame slips down, but once he pushes up the frame on his nose bridge, the image becomes sharp.
We need to pay attention to how he wears it as well as pay more for a sturdy frame whose shape does not become distorted too easily. His current frame is a one piece plastic frame (brand Zio).
Myovision lens are not cheap, our next pair costs $260 using back the old Zio frame.
If your child is already wearing specs, I wld suggest that you also make a normal lens specs as a backup.

Yes seriously considering Myo vision lenses now. My girl is going on to P3 next year but her degree is 300+ on each side already. Cannot imagine if her degree keeps on increasing. By the way is it normal for the degree increase to be around 50 to 75 degrees every year?
I have been nagging incessantly everyday on good eye-care habits. Apart from reading and doing schoolwork, and some TV, my girl does not play any computer games/I-games at all. Maybe we detected her short-sightedness too late..... :slapshead: -

U might want to consider getting your girl to look far at greenery after an hour of near sight work (like reading, doing sch work). Btw I notice some children bend very close to the desk while writing. Does your girl do that? -
myovision won’t help if child does not practise proper eye care.

Another issue is that for my girl's primary school, they are still in double session. So the P1/P3 and P2/P4 will share classrooms. As such, the height of the tables and chairs are not that tall. My girl is considered quite tall for her age, so she usually gets assigned to the seat at the back. And I also think that the table and chair a bit unsuitable for her....
But what to do???

Though u cant control the sch environment, at least at home she maintains proper posture. -

My boy wears his specs when doing this far sight training.
