I guess the same goes for my dd.My dd said the math was difficult but the GA I and II was fun. In the GA I and II, they are given an 'example test'. I don't know why it's called that but my dd said they give you some questions with answers to sort of help you get the drift of how to do your process thinking. No wonder some of them find it easy. She has a very good memory and told me some of the questions.
My dd being the blur-type cannot remember any question from the GA papers. I'm very curious - can you share some of them? Dd did mention about how they were given eg on how to answer some of the questions - she thought that was hilarious.
I think for GA, even if the kid can get their answer, they may be wrong sometime because, the right answer is not so obvious.
The math was tough but I believe for those who had spent alot of $$$ for prep lesson, they would have been trained for those tough questions. Also, for those whose are already practising upper primary math non-routine problems, it'd be easy for them too. My dd said that a boy in her class is already doing p6 math. He's bored in class, poor fella. His mom is a teacher. Anyway, I believe my dd will lose out in math because of no training.
.
I will definately keep track of the \"piece of cake boy\". I think I might as well get dd to check with him on how he found the Eng and GA papers. -
Sounds like quite an exciting day for your dd with her tooth falling out in the middle of the GEP test. Take heart. Getting into GEP doesn't guarantee her a place in her dream secondary school. And anyway, she can always get in via her PSLE results and still be entitled to the EESIS scholarship. Good luck!
Goodness! EESIS scholarship requires one to get 262 and above to be qualified for it.I'll be ecstatic if she gets 250.
What 'bus' are you all talking about? You sound like there's a bus specially to pick the kids up.
Assuming RGS or NYGH are her dream schools, she would need minimum 263 to get in via PSLE, so she would definitely qualify for EESIS. Anyway, it's still some years more. :)
If the child is from NYPS, no need to follow PSLE cut-off and that may mean need to pay to 200+ to 300+ a month at NYGH. Rich parents try to do transfer of their DD at lower primary.

Hi. I am a P3 student. I have just taken the GEP test too. I feel like some other parents that the test is easy. Not to say really easy, but just a little bit below average. I think that its not the difference between who says its hard or easy, its just about your abilty to do the paper

Hi anybody know how long is the duration for the gep exam paper should be given
ie. stated on the paper is 1 hour 30 min but it end at 1 hour 15 min -
Oh it is because they divided it into Part 1 and 2 and they have different times. But it is quite puzzling as they divide the 2 parts into different sections again. Hope this helps. I am a student who got thru the first round too.
