Oh no. Never. This is strange. Even in real life, a colleague insisted that I'm from a girls' school. I always thought that it has good implications if someone thought you're from a girls' school. I take it as a compliment, even if you never intended it that way.

      Why? You are huh?
whether it's a compliment or not depends on how you look at them. like if I were to ask 'are you from hc?', u'll freak out no matter how grand others think they are. Right?

anyway, I'm no IJ girl. I wear pants!! 😎

          How do you become a \"class monitor\"?

Class monitor positions are on an invitation basis. We study the contribution and savvyness of specific members and if we deem they are suitable for the class monitor position, we invite them to take up the challenge.

Oh, thanks for the info, Chief...

            Hi atutor2001,

Model rulers are still not allowed! From what I’ve heard, schools displayed it and said NOT to bring it for their paper!

Actually why the big whoha over a Model ruler? Basically it just makes it easier for the child to draw/divide the bars, that all.

                Hi Lynn1967,

We are just debating over whether model rulers are allowed in the exam or not. Do you think they are allowed, or not? :?

The way I see it, algebra is a shortcut in itself, which is why it is reserved as a heuristic at secondary level.

I use model and heuristics to teach primary level Maths but students will start learning algebra to solve problems in secondary level Maths. There is almost no limit in the use of algebra which is not just a heuristic. Algebra is an extensive field of study in Maths and algebra is applied in Add Maths and Physics as well as in some social science such as Economics and even Marketing.[/quote]Hi James I think you have quoted wrongly. I didn't say that \"The way I see it, algebra is a shortcut in itself, which is why it is reserved as a heuristic at secondary level.\"

To me, algebra is a generic approach to problem solving.

Thanks for the update. My last kid took PSLE quite a years ago. It was banned during their time.
