Very quiet today.

Guess everyone is busy buying books and uniforms.

Yes. How come you're back so early? Oh your dw is accompanying your ds.

My ds and I reached the school at 8 and were out before 8.45. Process was efficient! Kudos to the school!
you have definitely chosen the right school. Congrats!

So have any of the students with COs who are appealing to other schools heard from their school of appeal? Has any school blinked and defied the MOE directive? Please do let us know.

HI Alchemist, are you appealing ?

Nope - but my son is on waiting list for one of the schools that admits via DSA only. So trying to see if there is any chance of vacancies being created.

        Are you appealing?

              Are you appealing?
Yes, a group of parents are currently appealing to MOE.
I started a new thread 'DSA Appeal 2011', hoping to gather more feedback and progress on this DSA appeal.

Very cusious to know what is the outcome. If MOE allow that, then what is the point of DSA. It seems very unfair for those who stand by the rule.

I also want to appeal to MOE and maybe my MP why they allow such incident to happen.

Dd was called by Scgs for an interview today . She was shortlisted . Was told by the school that the result of the appeal can only be made known to parents on 27 dec or later as directed by moe. Has anyone heard similar response from school that they aPpealed to ?

Hi. A friend’s son who has been admitted to RI through a sport DSA was told this morning that he has to buy a different set of textbooks from the rest who scored above 240. Why so? Does it mean that the school is preparing these weaker students for ‘O’ levels?

I know that sports DSA > 240 are in normal class and so will use the same textbooks as the rest. The ones in the sports class may be using different textbooks that are more suited to their pace of learning. I don't think RI has plans for O levels class yet.

strange :? ... RI is only offering IP programme, no 'O' levels, I thought? did your friend hear wrongly?
