Haha well mine is also above $20-$30, but many classmates have that range and they survive. And besides, even though mine is pretty much way above, the amount I spend on food is approximately in that range.

For my I eat in the cafe for recess, and sometimes for lunch. But the food range is limited and I got tired of the food after a while and started eating in the canteen more often. I eat in the canteen about twice a week. The food is edible, but it's not too good. Usually I eat it only when they're no alternatives: I can't bring food, can't go out, and I'm sick of cafe's limited types of food. But at least it's edible, and you don't get food poisoning. I'll go to Far East/Ion any chance I get though. Haven't been to Plaza Sing for lunch in between school time. How d'you get there - and what do you eat?

LOL to all parents out there: Please give your kids a FIXED amount of pocket money. Not like my mom. She agreed to give me a fixed amount (more than $30 also, sorry) per week but then she got lazy and she said to ask her when I need it and I also got lazy of asking her so after awhile I just drank mogu mogu which is a nice drink that your daughters may become addicted to!

I shall just tell you my famous claim of walking from Far East to Kinokuniya's stationery section in 15 mins. šŸ™‚

Hmm I don't like Plaza Sing. Hey it's really not fun to go out unless you've got friends with you! Choco05 and I have gone together a couple times I think. And the original question was about pocket money, so let's get back on track! šŸ˜„

Plaza Sing is about...10mins away. 4-5 stops, taking 190 bus. It's like a food paradise, anything affordable at student prices are found there. From all the fast food shops to ramen and pastamania...everything! Plus a huge daiso.

And dear bananamonster i don't remember going to Plaza Sing with you. You always get fetched off somewhere as soon as school ends._.

I think we're scaring the parents btw, so let's go back to money topic! Maybe you can let your child try out a few days with let's say..$25 and see how long she lasts? Then you can slowly add on to it if she can't last with $25...

And the canteen food, i agree i don't eat in the canteen much, but the food can be quite nice too! Let's stop giving bad impressions. How good our food is depends on people's tastes.[/quote]Thanks Choco05, bananamonster, a child for ALL your Useful Advice!

So If we Can't Find Our Kids after sch ....
Can Look for them in Far East/Ion/Plaza Sing .... šŸ˜† šŸ˜†

No. The PE shirt does not require tucking in. But any other sch approved T-shirt you wear with culottes must be tucked in!

Also remember that PE shirt is the only one for which you don't have to fold sleeves. Everything else, including blouse, school-approved tee, house tee, orientation tee, whatever, needs folded sleeves šŸ˜„

Most people fold it twice, but if it's still too long it's okay to fold a few more times šŸ˜„

i know some of you are RGS girls. Do you all take a survey whether the top PSLE girl in your level, does she still score well in her academic now? or she slackened already. Does she still maintain top of the level, any leadership recognition, or becoming head prefect or something like that?

The top pupils in my class, I won't divulge their names or scores, but they're top 20, and on the Brands Essence posters. I'm not really sure about one, she's doing fine but nothing spectacular. The other who has the higher score is still scoring well now, her GPA tops our class and she's got the highest score for some other subjects too.

On the other hand, our class also holds some DSAs also who have <5 points less than the RGS COP, but they too are doing fine, with reasonable, above-average GPAs.

To be honest, i don't even know who the top PSLE scorer for RGS is. Last year's PSLE top is a guy, then i cannot remember the next few.

But i know who's the top of the level! And nope, i don't think she made her way to National Tops in S'pore for PSLE. And head prefects are chosen in year 3 End Year šŸ˜“ šŸ˜“

Most of the time we don't care who's the top or who's the lousiest. What matters is if we ourselves improve. We may be shocked by their high PSLE score at first, but then after a while we forget that they were geniuses, since everyone's a genius to make it to RGS, right?
