can i ask re the PE T-shirt and culottes attire - is DD supposed to tuck in the T-shirt into culottes ? Thanks !

No. The PE shirt does not require tucking in. But any other sch approved T-shirt you wear with culottes must be tucked in!

Also remember that PE shirt is the only one for which you don't have to fold sleeves. Everything else, including blouse, school-approved tee, house tee, orientation tee, whatever, needs folded sleeves :D
How many times do you need to fold up the sleeves?

Most people fold it twice, but if it's still too long it's okay to fold a few more times šŸ˜„

i know some of you are RGS girls. Do you all take a survey whether the top PSLE girl in your level, does she still score well in her academic now? or she slackened already. Does she still maintain top of the level, any leadership recognition, or becoming head prefect or something like that?

The top pupils in my class, I won't divulge their names or scores, but they're top 20, and on the Brands Essence posters. I'm not really sure about one, she's doing fine but nothing spectacular. The other who has the higher score is still scoring well now, her GPA tops our class and she's got the highest score for some other subjects too.

On the other hand, our class also holds some DSAs also who have <5 points less than the RGS COP, but they too are doing fine, with reasonable, above-average GPAs.

To be honest, i don't even know who the top PSLE scorer for RGS is. Last year's PSLE top is a guy, then i cannot remember the next few.

But i know who's the top of the level! And nope, i don't think she made her way to National Tops in S'pore for PSLE. And head prefects are chosen in year 3 End Year šŸ˜“ šŸ˜“

Most of the time we don't care who's the top or who's the lousiest. What matters is if we ourselves improve. We may be shocked by their high PSLE score at first, but then after a while we forget that they were geniuses, since everyone's a genius to make it to RGS, right?

Yup, by the time you make it to RGS, you start on a fresh slate. And regardless of your results, you'll be respected, because well, you made it to RGS. Somehow. There must be something really special about you even if it isn't PSLE scores - some sports/music talent, some academic genius, some leadership talent, etc. Most people forget after awhile who's who in PSLE, but rather what matters is the now in RGS. As long as you work hard you'll succeed, get your leadership positions, etc. I once had a friend, not in my year, but she got into RGS at the minimum COP, and she was made a prefect. There's nothing extraordinary about this - everything in RGS really is based on the potential you demonstrate in the school.

The thing about RGS is that PSLE really doesn't matter here. Everyone is really of the same standard more or less and you won't find any 'weak' people in class in terms of academics. Even the lowest scorer will still be of a reasonable standard!

Erm well the top PSLE girl in my school didn't come to RGS, so the second top. Hmm. She's doing average I guess? šŸ™‚ Nothing very special but she has above average grades which is typical of many RGS girls.
