Looks like students who appealed to NJC, Nan Hua, DHS etc will be hearing from the schools soon. Some vacancies have opened up. šŸ™‚

Have 2 friends whose DSs' appeal to HCI were unsuccessful . Scores are 255 +2 and 256+2. anyone here heard of successful appeal to HCI?

How were they informed? Email or phone call?

That is interesting. If you recall, HCI DSA is done in a structured way. On top of DSA COs, they have waiting list of which they inform top 50 WL they are as good as CO if choose HCI as first choice. And HCI is one of the few schs reminding option holders that this year no DSA Transfer allowed. That being the case, HCI S1 posting appeal vacancies will be as few as yesteryears cos they have strictly adhered to MOE Directive from the start, converted at least top 50 WL to CO leaving no gap there and they won't keep any seats for DSA Appeal cases. Thus no surprise S1 posting appeal vacancies same as its previous years - very very limited and thus have to pick and choose.

                    Ms tay:
Ri cop is 261 not 259 For this yr. šŸ˜„

                    HCI is 258
                    DHS is 256
                    ACSI Is 255
My DS's classmate's mum called up HCI last week thinking of submitting the appeal. HCI informed that their cop is 259. In the end she did not appeal. Score is 255+2. posted to RV

they, HCI, has always actively participated in the DSA CO appeal cases (accept and release) in the past , and this is not the first year they have 2 types of wait list

the reason that they have few vacancies for S1 appeal was because they are not releasing anyone who wants to leave, or have not received any request to leave, because the other school has not given any offer for the appeal

it is interesting to note that the schools that used to experience \"requests to leave\" after PSLE result was released were the one putting up notices up front this year saying there is no transferred allowed as per MOE directive, while other schools have not said so

                        just a personal observation
