The shen guang ke in the CL bk is he HCL normal txt. While the shen guang in hcl txt is so called the higher chinese part. However, the normal txt still hv another part called qiang huo which is not found on the hcl txt. So our kid is learning even lesser as we use the hcl txt. cos they never teach the shen guang and we also miss the normal txt qiang huo part.

My boy will be in P2 this yr… there’s no meet-the-teachers when the school term ended after his P1. So beside the feedback from his report card, there’s no face-to-face feedback.

Is this the norm for HIPS? Thanks.

I think they will meet the parent once a year only, either at term 1 or 2 or 3.

Thanks for your reply Mrs Seah.

Yes, there’s 1 meet up last yr. I thought it would be more logical to have a session after term 4 to feedback how the child is doing for the whole yr…

              spanly,

I agree with you that the school should at least organise another Meet-Teacher-Session in Term4.

Any P1 parents here? Have you got the school time-table? Seem that the school is not so organised.

The timetable was given to my gal last Fri. But I felt abit lost as I do not know which textbook is for which subject.

Typically, the teachers will keep the Chinese & Maths testbooks... so just bring those for Moral & Social Studies according to the timetable etc.
