A good friend got us all paranoid that we threw out all the non-stick pots & pans too. Bought new ceramic wok & pots when Robinsons had the sale. Bought Kleen Kanteen stainless steel water bottles for my children. Was tempted to buy the glass water bottles when in US but am sure my kids would break them and cut themselves!

:hi5: my kids also use klean kanteen leh

Yup no non-stick pan. The wok is the old fashion iron one that we season slowly.

Is ceramic good? What's the material?

I got a few items from Scanpan Titanium Ceramc range. Check out this link:

                  http://www.scanpancookware.com/pages/faq-pv-c0-8.html

SCANPANย  is \"forged\" from molten aluminum under 250 tons of pressure. The molten aluminum is poured into a lower mold, with an upper mold coming down to \"squeeze\" the liquid aluminum into the shape of the pan. The 250-ton pressure gets rid of any air pockets or other inclusions, thus ensuring perfect heat distribution without hot spots. Only pressure-cast aluminum will guarantee this flawless performance.

SCANPAN CLASSIC & PROFESSIONAL features a ceramic-titanium surface which is part of the pan and will not come off. Most other non-sticks work with one or more layers of traditional plastic coatings which, over time, will start to peel, scrape and blister away.

Hmmm, seems like I hv missed out some good tips for being AWOL.

Hello Kakis. Was away w family so didnโ€™t chk thread regularly.

For the pots n pans, I used only only stainless steel, the type which donโ€™t have screw beneath the lids, so no nd to worry any stain stick on the screw.
