For P5 and P6 GEP students, has the class allocation been done yet?

brxn:
No idea but based on my ds feedback, it does not seem that the posting is banded. Well we will probably find out more during the P4 META parents' briefing session on 14 Jan am.
Thank you. I believe we'll have more details on the 14th.dorothy:
Hi, the parents were informed of the 6 Home/Expert classes during the META Orientation briefing on 30th Dec. We were told that 4I and 4J will be the classes attended by the 63 HA pupils, who will be doing mainstream enriched curriculum. I can't remember whether it was mentioned that the class size will be kept as around 30 or increased to the usual mainstream class size of 40. Perhaps, your ds was assigned to 4I to make up the full class. Since he had opted out of the META programme, the difference will be he doesn't join the GEP kids for lessons in the Home class. This is just my guess.I doubt 4I is a META class. My son is in 4I and he has opted out of the META programme.
I believe we can understand more from the briefing for P4 parents on 14th Jan.
I hope to learn more from the parents in this thread. TIA.
Have a Blessed New Year! :celebrate: -

Hi parents,
Need advice for those that drives kids to sch in the morning…we r new to NYPS…
Is it better to drive in fr Coronation N drop off at gate C on most days? Is that way less jam than gate A since I will expect the sch buses to go by Kings Rd n there will be cars by parents fr St Margaret too right? However if it rains in the morning, is gate A the best way to avoid getting all wet though I dun remember seeing any protruding shelters to avoid the rain leh? Many thanks in advance yah… -

I always drop off at gate C to avoid the long queue over at A. Same when it rains as the teachers will be carrying umbrellas at C to provide cover for kids alighting at C.Hi parents,

Most of the school buses will drop the children by 7am. Any entrance that you use, in the event of rain, will have teachers with umbrellas sheltering the children. You can drop your child along Kings road or near gate C to walk in, or if driving into the school driveway, any side is fine, as well as anywhere along the driveway (no need to drop off at the meeting point), as there will be teachers and PVs helping the children to cross the driveway at the designated crossing area.

Please remember to do your good bye kisses and hugs at home to prevent jam in school due to long goodbyes.
At dismissal time, there is no waiting along Kings Road. If on Coronation Road, please be considerate and not park in front of residents' houses as there are a few expats in that area who (have previously and) will not hesitate to call the traffic police if they find you parking indiscriminately.
Best to park at Queens Road area or Prince of Wales Road. -
