Edusave Scholarship Award

[bezzlay]

We received Top25% certificate sometime in late Nov and we didn’t qualify for the award due to income cap. And yesterday, we received a good student award from our constituency. Does any parent know what is this award?

Hi, the edusave scholarship awards for P5 and P6 are $400 for top 5% and $350 for next 5%. About 2-3 years ago, I have a friend’s dd who received $450. Was there a change in quantum? What happen if we do not receive the award at the award giving ceremony? Will the award be returned to the school and given out by the teachers? Thanks!

Hi alng,
Not sure about 2-3 yrs back but for 2010 and 2011, the amount is $400 for top 5% and $350 for the next 5%.

DD was sick last year and had to miss out on the Edusave scholarship presentation ceremony but I managed to collect her cert and cheque from our RC after calling them to inform of DD's situation.

If you can't attend the presentation ceremony, do give your RC a call and arrange to pick up the cert and cheque. Depending on RC, some may require a letter to explain your absence.

:congrats: to all receipients of the Edusave Scholarship and/or EAGLES Award.

Keep up the great work! :rahrah:

i think the $400/$350 is for pri school. $450/($600?) is for sec school

Umm… think secondary is $400/$650 …

We were away on holiday for 3+ weeks, so we didn’t realize that DS1 was awarded the Edusave Award. We only found out on Christmas Eve when we were looking through the thick pile of mails. DH called the CC, and was told to bring DS down (with Student Card & Passport) to collect the Award. We brought DS to the CC in the evening (we were surprised that the CC was opened till quite late on Christmas Eve). DS received a $350 cheque, addressed to his name. It was indeed a wonderful Christmas gift for DS!

Btw, DS was in P6 last year (2011), going Sec 1 this year (tomorrow)!! Wishing all KSP parents & kids a Happy New Year 2012!!!
