Hi
May I know if anyone has tried going to CGS's URL to check the sec 1 class allocation? I m still not able to to login.
Thanks
Hi softcoach,
I'm also not able to log in since 2pm until now!
Think our girls will have to check their classes on noticeboards tomorrow morning! -
Hi Brenda10
Yes, I have also been checking the site on and off since 2pm. Feeling a little kancheong since it's my 1st time being a mommy of a secondary school kid
.
My DD1 is really excited and looking forward to the week-long orientation programme. So different from the time when she got her posting results and found out that she did not make it to the IP school of her choice. Her spirits were dampened for quite a while.
Anyway, she likes what she has seen/read about the school so far and is looking forward to the CCA open house and orientation campfire.

Hello Softcoach,
I can understand how yr girl felt with her disappointment in failing to secure her lst choice in an IP sch.
So fast,1 week of school is over. How did your daughter find her school? -
Does CGS conduct 3rd language (Jap, French or German) lessons in the school? Or all 3rd languages are done at MOELC? Thx!

I would think the 1st month is still quite relaxed as DD doesn't have much work to do and most of the works are Math.
She told me that they have quite a number of Science experiment conducted at the Science Lab.
They are also attending some computer courses and also project like Problem Base Learning. Hopefully I do not hear wrongly!
Also, we have placed the order for the slate PC and are expected to arrive in the mid of February.
Perhaps they will be busier once the PC is in use and also the CCA kick off next month! -

My DD is also in CGS Sec 1 and she's enjoying herself so far. CGS is her first choice and she was really happy to get selected to join the Digital Art & Manga Club. Which CCA is yours doing?
And yes, she told me that they will be getting their slate PC this Thursday and she's really excited!
I'm so glad she is enjoying her school, that would truly motivate her to do her best.

Hi ebebel,
FYI, DD joins Dance Club. They will be learning Modern dance as well as Chinese Dance.
Same as your DD, my DD is also very exciting with the slate PC and I think they can put the text books /Work books at home.
DD loves the Green lab and also enjoy the Design and Technology lesson/workshop. Heard from her the school is going to organise a 10 session on a research program for History/Geography to a place (sorry, forgotten the name). :boogie: -

I saw some of my DD's sketches for her D&T, quite interesting and great for nurturing creativity!
The only gripe she has is probably the morning 'Fit' run
But I'm glad they make the girls run to keep fit, 'cos I think PE alone is not enough.
