Are parents allowed into the school on the first day of school? I don't mean drop off, I mean hanging around, maybe in the canteen, for a while? Vlim, paddy, vsk, will you all be accompanying your DSs to school on 3/1?

I will accompany ds to school for the first two days - taking MRT circle line. But I won't be hanging around in the school compound even if that's allowed because ds prefers that I don't go in with him.

Yes, I will be going as I need to buy the PE attire for DS. Think should be ok for parents to go, as it's the first day of school afterall.

But I don't think book shop opens so early right? I may be wrong. During the holidays, they open at 9am. Not sure about term time. But u may also wait until 9am.

For the orientation camp, can anyone advise what e 1.5l bottle is for? Is it meant to be their water bottle or do they have to bring a separate water bottle?

Like the GEP camp, they bring the 1.5L bottle (with water) for drinking, then refill it with water again, whenever necessary.
Btw, parents are allowed into the school today. Quite a number are here. The school compound is so big, we can sit around anywhere quite comfortably, actually.
