Thanks Jedamum! Yes, i shall make haste then!
Hopefully, the Principal wont be too busy to meet me as its the 1st week of school! I took a look at the P1 admission stats for that school for his year and noticed that balloting was needed for even <1km...so guess its a \"fullhouse\" for P5...but i'm still hopeful.. :xedfingers: -

I sent email, and got confirmation
Hi, you mentioned that you send an email and got confirmation, may I know which level was you DS/DD is and which school did you appeal to?
:thankyou: -
We are considering getting DS transferred out of his current Pr school. After trying for parent volunteer and failing and we did not even have a balloting chance as we are not within 1km of any schools, we decided to put him in his current school. We thought oh well, maybe the school may be ok. However, since orientation and now that the school have started, we have our misgivings.
Just to seek some advise or hear from those who have successfully transferred your kids, what do you put as the reason on the waitlist forms?
I cannot put proximity as a reason as our choice schools are no where nearer then the current school. I know the chances are slim but we want to at least try so hoping to get some inputs here.
Appreciate any suggestions. -

i am planning to waitlist my daughter to a more popular school in my area in bukit batok, and they are St. Anthony's, Princess Elizabeth and Keming...Has anyone have experience on being confirmed on it and how long did it actually take? I know it depends on the year and such...but I guess I am just being a \"parent\"..
Thank you and if anyone can also recommend other schools that is outside of what i mentioned that are close to Bukit Batok area, it will be highly appreciated...
thank you -

Perhaps you can state your DS's strengths in certain CCA? When I placed my DS in waitlist and in which he was subsequently successfully being selected, I mentioned that he was very keen in Robotics, and has attended enrichment in this area. As the school has a Robotics Club, that added an advantage in my appln. Just my 2 cents. -
Hi funz
If all else fails, you can try again after P3 when the GEPers come out of that popular school you want. That’s what happened to my fren’s gal who wanted to join a good school. In the meantime, make sure your kid does well in his current school. -
Thank you Mummyof3, Lakesidemum & Cherrygal.

Hi! My daughter is gg to reg for P1 this year. I’m planning to send her to a school near my place and subsequently transfer her to MGS when she goes to P2. Can anyone advise on this as i have read somewhere in the tread that it is quite tough to get a transfter to MGS. What are the things that the school will look for before granting the child a place? Is there an entry test or interview or something? Appreciate any advise regards to this matter, thanks!
