Only for Y1 and Y2 I think, after that gals are grouped according to subject combination or something. And yeah the GE class people basically learn about the same stuff as the other students, just that the GE classes generally have only ex-GEPpers and high scoring mainstreamers, I guess. Oh, one more difference is that the GE classes have less students than the other classes (like 32-33 while other classes have like 36-37 or something). -
The cafeteria food at RGS is really quite nice… Especially the tuna puff which I totally really really like… When I went to buy it wasn’t really crowded but that was after school (like 3+ idk) and not during lunch time/recess so I dunno…

Anyway dear year 1s please start looking for the class trays! You know the GO has 2 entrances right? The class trays is at the one where you walk past the walkway(the little cafe area for visitors?)and then stop right at the back entrance of the GO? Because your angel letters will start coming out soon(our class already finished mortal allocation, that means enthu ppl will be writing starting tmr, like me, and i alr wrote letters to some of you you know! so don't leave the letter there!)And class tray is an effective way of communication! -

yes, kinda of surprise when i heard some pupils ard this range being accepted ........
juz as one forummer had mentioned it,
seems like RGS is keeping more slots for appeal cases as not to \"disturb\" the COP of S1 posting..... (juz my guess) -

So becos of the DSA Appeal saga, the seats originally reserved for the DSA transferees have to be released and thus the lower COP accepted.
Such a scenario will never repeat again in future years cos no more DSA Appeals. I guess RI and RGS have to come up with comprehensive WL lists like HCI does - WL List 1 and 2 in future DSAs. So we may expect more WLs for the Raffles Family.
The successful 257 S1 Appeals this year are really lucky :please: .... This is an anomaly situation and they had replaced some very very high scorers who had wanted to transfer via DSA Appeal but are not allowed to
The schools won't be allowed to hold so many seats for the purpose of artificially jacking up COP - MOE is watching... :nunchuk: it's just due to the DSA Appeal mess this year - that's my opinion.

My friend from 109 told me anyway...

Arent RGS already fully aware and being notified by MOE new directive of this yr clampdown of DSA CO appeals ??
And thus, they even stated clearly in their website that
students who have accepted DSA offers from other schools can ONLY seek appeals
if there are strong reasons and exceptional circumstances ( such as medical reasons, example given by MOE ),
So my question is WHY would RGS still reserve many slots awaiting for DSA CO appeals ?
( how many cases would they think would have a valid medical reason or exceptional circumstances ??)
These so called \" reserved slots\" shd be released to centralised S1 postings.
It isnt that RGS is caught off - handed this yr.
This sets me ponder......
The sch being an independent sch def has its own discretion when comes to S1 posting appeals. -
