          Reporting here too!

Planning to pv for my boy’s P1 registration cos statistically, pig year has a lot more babies compared to the monkey, chicken and dog years. Plus that many schools cutting their intake, I think when it comes to the registration in 2013, there will be more casualties…
Hoping to get PV in a school not too far off from home!

just curious, if i have a kid born on 1st Jan, can i register at an earlier year of registration, if fail in balloting, then register again at the following year?

I think u need to declare to MOE if your child is a singaporean...
Bcoz my ex-coll declare to MOE for later entrance for his son as he is born in Dec 2004... So she register his son last year for 2012 intake...

Not only my DD is born in dec, 2007, she’s a bit slow too. I’m really worried if she can cope in P1.

Hi, my son is also born in 2007. Have sent my application to NCPS but realised from onemap that my block falls just outside the 2km radius. Oh dear! Anyone knows if they go strictly by the radius cos my neighboring block just less than 10m away is inside the radius.

Another query if anyone knows where I can find the information on which primary school has student care centre?

                      Most grateful…

                        BigDevil:
Don't have an answer for you, but personally, I wouldn't do that.

If the child joins the earlier batch, he would have just turned 6 at the start of the school year!

DD had a classmate whose birth date is Dec 29. She said he had a hard time understanding what was being taught. So don't think I will put my child through that.
haha..but it is an extra chance of getting a shot at a preferred sch. 😉
my boy had a classmate born on the 1st of Jan the following year from their class cohort. physically, he is the same size as my boy  . that boy is quite smart too. 🙂 so really depends, but if MOE's registration allow a second chance for such cases, then parents may rush to start their birth planning more accurately already! :rotflmao:
