Welcome back Tinkerbelle! How was Korea? How is your dd1 settling Into RGS? I saw some RGS girls come back to visit their teachers yesterday...was your dd one of them?
Hi michyms,
Thanks.....our Korea trip was wonderful. How was your holiday?
DD1 is enjoying herself at RGS. This whole week is orientation so they are doing fun activities. I suspect the workload will increase after the honeymoon period...... No, it wasn't DD who went back to sch to visit the teachers.
How's your DD's first few days at MCS? Hope she's having lots of fun.

Hi phoenix,Hi Everybody,
Happy New Year! Hope all the P1 girls enjoyed their first 2 days at Marymount Convent. Miss the sharing on this thread with the parents here.
DD loves being in P1 and having a P5 Buddy to fuss over her. It is great the first 3 days at MGS starts later and ends 1 hour earlier. The few times we drove past Marymount Convent, my DD would ask which lucky girl took over her place.
Here's wishing all students here a Wonderful Journey in Marymount and joy to their families.
Cheers
Phoenix
Nice to hear from you again. Glad to hear that your DD is enjoying her first few days at MGS.
Just curious, MGS has a Sophia Blackmore class (their school-based gifted programme)....does the sch offer that to the lower pri gals? If they do, I'm sure your DD will benefit from it. All the best and do drop by the MCS thread to keep us posted ya.

Hi, I've PM you. -
Hi… can the children request to go to the toilet during class time ? My DD said when she ask to go to the toilet during chinese class, the teacher said "NO".

Hi michyms and tinkerbelle,
Thanks! My daughter’s fever is gone so it’s back to school today!
KSMum, it’ll be terrible if it’s a strict no no! Will let u know if my DD tells me so.
Looking for P1 parents who’s living in Yishun. I’m trying to see if I find an alternate travel arrangement for my DD to school. Currently she’s the 1st to be picked up by the sch bus at 10:40am and she spends the next 1.5 hrs in it. Hoping to lessen her travelling time by getting a taxi/bus to ferry her. Let me know if anyone is interested.
Cheers! -
Hi Gorilla, great to know our gals are in the same class. For me, the school bus arrangement is also not ideal. The driver estimated drop off at 8pm in Queenstown when taking a taxi, she reaches home by 7pm! Any parents looking for alternative transport around Queenstown, Farrer area?

Anyone know if Helpmate is now available in the bookstore? I read that it is out of stock till next week?
