An appeal to parents driving to school in the morning:


If driving into the school driveway, PLEASE do not wait to get onto the left side of the driveway, esp if you are driving in from Kings road from Bt timah road. Your child can be dropped off on the right driveway as well. There are Pvs and teachers ensuring the children's safety when crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing within the school.

Part of the reason for the jam on Kings road in the mornings is that parents are all waiting to get onto the left driveway, and the wait and tailback can be as long as 15 minutes, all the way to Crown Centre. Please help to alleviate the jam into school by driving onto the right driveway.

This morning, despite the long row of cars going in, I noticed that there were very, very few cars on the right driveway, whereas on the left driveway it was bumper to bumper. Please do your part and everyone's drive into school will be much smoother.

I believe the reason why parents drop the child off on the left lane is because the child is seated beside the driver on the left side.


Maybe parents should let their kids sit in the backrow so that the child can alight fm either left n right side of the car. :?

isn't the traffic warden outside gate A supposed to direct the cars to the right side as well, unless it is raining ? please have a word with the traffic warden as well

if the cars are waiting to enter gate A from King's road coming from Farrer, then those on King's road from Bukit Timah can just drive in gate A on the right-side driveway

of course those coming from Farrer/King's road can also go onto the right side driveway as well, if their cars have steering wheels :evil: :evil:

I'm a 'VERY silent' member of PTA. Normally they will send emails of events happening & requests for volunteers/participants as appropriate. I try to join when I can (I'm working) as it's quite fun to see the kids enjoying themselves.....

I saw the traffic warden waving the cars to drive into school on the right driveway, but the drivers (about 4 or 5 of them in front of me) simply refused to move, Waiting instead for the traffic warden to stop the traffic for the children to cross, thats when they swing into the driveway on the left :yikes:

It's worse when they swing half-way & realise they can't get in because the driveway is full..... block cars from farrer side going to bukit timah AND vice versa :mad:

I m a working mom too.. Love to join but worried tat I cannot be there all the time n can only volunteer when schedule permits..dunno if PTA ok or not..

My DD sits in the backseats but I can't let her off on the right because the right door is permanently on Child's Lock.

So on occasions I needed to drive her into the school, instead of turning into Bt Timah from Lornie, I just take the flyover and head straight down Farrer, make a U at the junction, then enter King's via Empress Road. Even with this detour, I found that it gets me into the school faster than entering King's from Bt Timah!

Oops...did I just spill the beans?
