I supposed it depends on the experience and qualification of your tutor ba.

Usually dip level is charging abt $20 per hr, degree holders giving part time is around $25, Full time degree tutor is charging $30-$35, Ex school teacher is $35/$40 per hour.

      Hopes that helps.
How about existing School Chinese Teacher how much do they charge?

Existing school teachers will be higher than ex NIE teacher lor. Last time my fren was quoted $50 per hour. Not sure of the norm as it really depends on the existing sch teacher's teaching exp & qualification.

              Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post.

What is the going hourly rate for 1 on 1 chinese tuition for lower primary?

Teacher is currently enrichment school teacher and tried and tested type?
              Hi MMM,

I saw some lang centre where the class size is 1:1 or 1:2. I guess the rate should be around $15/hour taught by those PRC Teachers.

Singaporean tutors and China tutors are charging different rate. You can check with the tutors at http://singapore.math-chinese-tutor.com/Subject-Interest/higher-chinese-tutors/. They have both experienced Singaporean tutor and China tutor. You can communicate with them directly. They rates are accurate, no commission involved.

I am looking for a chinese tutor for my daughter who is going to primary 1 next year. She will be attending Berries only once a week next year & I am looking for someone who can revise with her what is being taught in school.

If you know of anyone, please PM me. Thanks.

                    Hi Airex,

My son is currently in K2 and badly needs help w/ Chinese. We think that a 1-1 tutor will be better for him now to prepare him for P1 next year.

May i know the contact number of your tutor friend? maybe she can help my son. Thanks!!!

Not to pour any cold water, but I seriously do not think tuition is necessary for languages. It may just add to their stress, considering their compulsory maths and science tuition, piano and swimming lessons, and what not.

Reading, listening to selected music stations, watching some TV serials, wouldn't that be better?

But just my take though.
