Wan to ask something again. i received the letter that we need to declare if we are going to travel in CNY and even if dun travel, need to declare via internet. However, we are not given the userid and password, how to login? any idea where these wil be given to us?
Hi Larkspur
Not sure when will we be given the userid and password.
But there are instructions on their website to login to 'Parents Portal'. http://www.ncps.moe.edu.sg/document/step_by_step_guide_Login_to_Parent_Portal.pdf
The above instruction is only for Parents Portal. Can anyone advise how do we login to 'School Portal'? Will we be given a different userID and password?
Your ID: [your kid's BC No]
Your Password: [same]
Try. If not, then got to ask school. We initially also encountered some issue upfront but was ok after few days.
No issue with parents portal but school portal, obviously password wrong leh. i used the passwords for the documents for parents portal, cannot work. Use the new password i change for parents portal also cannot work -

Thks for yr info. We have this paper art folio in bklist. So are we suppose to pack pieces of drawing block inside this file? Also, do you know the purpose of this white board set (marker/duster)?DoDo_DoDo:
Can anyone advise what to bring during art lesson? Thks!
We usually pack the standard crayons, colour pencils and a few pieces of drawing blocks. If the teacher requires other materials like newspapers, they will tell the kids beforehand.
Sorry for my ignorance...
Better to buy oil pastels instead of just crayons, as some art teachers r more particular.
Art folio - wait for teacher's instruction b4 bringing it to sch. Some teachers will want to keep it in sch (for completed work), while some ask kids to keep the completed work at home themselves, others will ask kids to draw on the cover as 1st lesson. We r re-using it for the 3rd yr as it is still in v good condition. :imcool:
Some nice teachers will also collect blank drawing blocks & distribute to kids during art lesson.
I let DS bring only 1 piece of drawing paper in an empty drawing block + oil pastels for each art lesson.
1st time buying whiteboard too, so no idea for which subject. -
The bookshop staff told me the white board is for the students to practise chinese character writing

There is no afterschool care in Nan Chiau right now. Nearest student care will be in Polaris Junior. I heard there may be one after the upgrading thou.hi, can i check is there afterschool/student care in Nan Chiau Primary?..if no, can i seek for recommendations that is located near the school?

Did anyone receive the Maths "newsletter"? My P1 dd brought this back from school last week with a subscription form. Is this subscription compulsory? Do they have to subscribe and bring it to school?

Not compulsory. It's just an extra enrichment maths material for kids. -
