Hi
Is it possible to attain A1 for CCA at the end of 4yrs if join clubs n societies like library, chinese cultural club? -
After reading, it appears that the education system doesnโt add value, but stifle some kids through overloading them, while benefiting some select group.
Is it a good education system to make kids so stretched? For that matter, parents as well. This is not a international norm. A rethink on this should be done. -

Agree with you. Nowadays, sec kidz way too stretched. My girl is like more than 8hrs in sch everyday, worse than working life. Now i understand why everyone fight for a place in IP. Regretted not putting her in it though she's qualified. After reading, it appears that the education system doesn't add value, but stifle some kids through overloading them, while benefiting some select group.

It's not advisable to take up two CCAs as this will take up too much of your child's time. Instead, by focusing on one CCA, your child will enjoy and achieve more by taking up leadership role (office-bearers, committee members, captain, higher ranks in uniform group etc), achievement (participate in SYF, inter-school competitions, awards). As such, one can achieve max points in either uniform group, sports or performing arts.Hi,
I understand that it would be easier for uniform group to get the max points for LEAPS as opposed to performing arts etc. Is that true? I was comparing between different CCAs and the uniform group seems to be the one getting lesser time as compared to the others, athough might be physically tougher... Might need to have two CCAs if these are all performing arts to max the points. Can anyone enlightened me..
As it is a 4 year commitment, it's important that one's interest is taken into consideration. Hope this helps. -

It is not advisable to take 2 core CCAs - takes up too much time and commitment. If it is 1 core and 1 secondary CCA, may still be able to manage as the secondary CCA may have lesser commitment.

Hi
Would like to find out more about ODAC. What sort of activities do they cover and is it really tough, i.e., physically strenuous and time consuming? Would attaining A1 be possible?
Thanks!! -

Hello Everyone!
I am deciding in between Infocomm Club and Band.
i wished to learn flute by joining band. (2nd instrument)
on the other hand...
i didn't wish to leave my Infocomm Club as i have been a member since Primary 3.
band have won awards while infocomm club is ... not sure but band is definately better than it in terms of awards achieved.
my parents left the choice to me and i am still deciding wisely.
Anyone can lend a helping hand? :?:
