There is streaming for CL every year, for P1(Based on the chinese test mention by Greenbelt) after that will be based on the yearly results. The school does not have an overall best class to the weakest classes for other subjects until P5 when they have the national subject banding in P4.

my dd said there is no lesson so far. In her class, teacher only ask them to read storybook and drawing.

Hi. My boy (1.5) says the same thing.
he says he's busy with drawing in class he is sad that he has to miss PE lessons thus far. He says those taking school bus home have to assemble in the hall at 5.30pm thus missing PE lessons. his very first math homework was to complete writing 1 to 10 on successive pages in the exercise book and drawing the corresponding number of items. Zzzzzz I don't see any work being done in the workbooks and activity books. The handbook/pupil's diary is also blank except for where parents fill in details at first page.
maybe it's the first week or so, that's why? -
Yup… My boy in 1.2 also didn’t say much abt work in school… Maybe really because it is only beginning?

Hmm guess it's the same for all p1 classes then....still \"honeymoon\" period for them...

My son’s class has started some lessons. There was English story telling but guess that’s to assess the children’s English ability. In his journal, he has written two items so far. Get 20 stickers for maths and fill up Chinese form to hand in to Chinese teacher. Yesterday they used the stickers for their maths class.

That's what my boy says lor...
he was looking forward to PE. Last week we asked him, he says they didnt do sports. Yday, then he finally told us cos those taking school bus have to assemble in the hall at 5.30pm....(not sure if for all P1 classes.)
