Hi to parents who are sending their kids to KC! My son has spent the last three years here and has enjoyed himself tremendously. The teachers work very closely with the parents & are dedicated to the kids. Also found that my DS's mandarin improved in KC. They have HMT and MT available with excellent Mandarin teachers. Even hubby was decidedly impressed by them.

KC's niches are basketball and chess. DS was in the school chess team from P1. The teacher in charge is Mrs Ho, a very nurturing teacher who loves her charges as her own. The Chess team and its parents are like a family. Very warm and friendly.

KC is definitely not a \"lousy neighborhood school\". I have witnessed the extra efforts the staff puts in to help the kids. This year they were recognized to be one of the most improved schools. I am sure they will keep on improving. Don't pass them on or \"see them no up\". I love how they reinforce excellent values in their students. 🙂

I hope your kids will enjoy their time with this school. DS has enjoyed his three years and we part ways with KC with a somewhat happy yet heavy heart. DS is moving on to a new school due to his acceptance into the GEP. We see KC as being a partner in bringing him over to this new chapter of his life with us. 🙂

I’m looking at the history balloting. Am I right to see that there is only balloting for st Andrews junior for more than 2 km? So those within 1 km all got in?

You are correct if you are talking about phase 2B.

For 2C 2010, there was balloting for those within 1km.

                Thanks for reply.

I was referring to 2011 phase 2c intake, so all those 1km got in st Andrews?

If there was balloting for those < 1km for 2010’s phase 2C,

then I believe there would also be balloting for < 1km in 2011’s phase 2C.

                      Hi All

I’m new to this thread and would like to seek your advice. My son is a Jan 2009 kid and I would like to put him in Pei Chun. I understand from the Parent Volunteer Form that to qualify, we have to stay within 2km of the school. Although we intend to move by the time we register him for school, I’m wondering if it is truly necessary to have an address within 2km of the school to qualify for PV registration.

Appreciate if someone can advise! Thank you.

The school is being nice because historically, they require balloting for those living within 2km during phase 2B.

So they are offering PV duties to those living within 2km since those outside 2km will not even get a chance to ballot.

If you fully intend to move nearer to the school, you should state so in your application or they will likely just reject your PV application.
