Hi,

My DS will also be taking part in this yr’s P1 registration. Just a question to ask. My primary sch was closed down and when I called MOE to check whether I could could put my DS in another school. But was told that my school was closed down so I couldnt use the old girl scheme. I think this is very unfair for parents like us. Any advise on what I can do.

Intend to put my DS in RMPS but balloting is needed within 1km based on previous registation. =((
Dear all, i will register my DS this year for 2013 In-Take. Our prefer school is Frontier Primary School, should be in phase 2C as we did not committed to any PV job.

        :imanisland: pqy,
For Frontier Primary School, don't think there will be PV as this is a brand new school 😄 Are you within 1km from the school? Do take note there is balloting last year for P1 2012  Do you have a back-up plan? 😉

Hi Champion, yes we stay within 1km for Frontier and Jurong West Primary school. Jurong west will be our second choice.
Hi pqy,

My take is JWPS will also require balloting in phase 2C, due to the fact that the school did very well in their PSLE last year....JMHO

My boy is in P1 there this year, and I noticed quite a number of PVs in the school, hoping to place their kids in phase 2B.

My boy is enjoying himself in school and I noticed the teachers handled the kids really well there.

Hi lakesidemum tks for the update. Mean that chance to get in JWPS also very slim since we do not committed the 40 hrs pv.

            Hi pqy,

Well, if you are set for your child to get into JWPS, then being a PV will definitely help, however, if you are going for Frontier, then your back up will have to be other than JWPS.

I believe the main reason lies with the opening of Frontier Primary, which is just mins away. Being single session and with brand new facilities, it will attract the parents in that area.

However, with JWPS proven track record and the upgrading to go single session and a basc in the school next year, yes, the equation might change. Just my take on this.

if the primary school had merged with another, you are eligible for the new school
