HiStar2003.. Wow!! and thanks.. few questions:
1) Briefing and workshops? Will wait for the one that we can join our kids in class
2) where to get model ruler?
The teacher replied to say to bring Art paper for today only. Can I check what u all do? Bring all once and for all - the crayon/water colour etc and leave that in school?
Ji
Paulyn, hope your kid is feeling better today
I may attend the talk this sat.. Called school and they said can just drop by cos there are still seats available. Anyone knows the timing off hand now? Cos i forgot the time..
You can buy the model ruler from stationery shop, just ask the staff. -

Any parent know whether is there any exams for P3 in term 1?
Hi,
Looking at the Term 1 Calendar of Events, looks like no exams for P3
P3 term 1 calendar not out yet. Teacher will distribute it when it is finalized. -
Hi all
Anyone can tell me for P1child did they need any CCA now ? -

Hi Dubai,Hi all

I don't think it's compulsory but can join if the parents/children are keen. From the Parent Notification (PN), it says CCA from P2 onwards. So I didn't fill up & submit the CCA form. However, I received a separate letter regarding Taekwando for Beginners today & it says all pupils from P1 to 6 are encouraged to join this CCA. -

They have another calendar for P3 term 1? my boy did not tell me that. -
Hi
Attended the parenting seminar on Sat and learnt a lot from parents:
a. No exams for P1 but a series of mini tests which will determined their ranking.
b. CCA not compulsory and not recommended. But if kid really interested, then to go for it as focus in P1 is settle them in.
c. Got public phone in school near canteen.
My questions are how do we know teachers teach until where each day else how we revise?
Regarding this weekโs chinese spelling, is it to learn the entire hanyupinyin?
Next week is to celebrate new year. Remember to bring the things that are in the list. -
Hi all
I went to the workshop last saturday too.. I feel the response for such talks are so weak.. Im surprised so little parents attended... around 20 odd parents there only, some are even couples attending..
Alot of us are also concerned about what is going on with the school? cos we are totally not involved in anything at all, not even to see our kids during the first few days.. But issue brought up that day oso no use cos NO TEACHERS are present at the talk, cos this is an outsourced workshop.
Managed to see the only parent here in the same class as me ^.^
Who is the parent that mentions about his son having a tummyache? I saw you there too
-
The son with tummyache is me. Ha ha.
Today he still complained and wanted to go to grandmaโs place. He even dug his throat to induce vomit but we still said no.
His teacher very supportive and smsed and called me to update on his progress so Iโm quite assured.
Anyway, the teacher told me they have received their diary today. They will issue letter soon about payment and also on some trips they are going. The teacher said it will be slow for the first term and learning things like ABC, Numbers frm 1 t0 10. -
Hi Paulyn, which class is your kid in? Not bad for the teacher to be in contact with u

teaching ABC and 1 to 10??? My ger did comment that they teach easy things.. Isit that what they learnt in kindy days??
