Oh.. DS2 is in P4 this year.. But now only beginning of the year, so '3 years later' includes this year lor šŸ˜‰ ... If say '2 years later', very scary leh!!! šŸ˜“ :nailbite:

        Don't scare me leh.
        DS2 is P5 with PSLE \"2 years later\".
        How ? Should I panic now ?

yes , panic now . Panic is a part of PSLE. So go do the full melodrama.
:imdrowning: :?: 😢 :frustrated: :stupid: :stompfeet: :slapshead:

        Then Get over it .
Ah! then can relax and focus on PSLE. :imanangel:
remember the panic part is over , you cant do it again.

Ok now i :siam:[/quote]ngbrdad, then you should NOT include this year, you should say ''ONE year later\"!!!
Panic earlier.. prepare earlier.. not a bad idea, actually... šŸ˜‰

Actually P5 is the year to prepare for PSLE, of course, it builds up from P1. But really focusing on PSLE format is P5, not P6. Because P6 is a short term only 6 months, then the sch will do revision. Right, firefly38, I just got to relax after ds completed psle last year and now got to push panic button for dd now. šŸ˜“ :nailbite:

OK maybe we should start preparing now this time.
For DS1 we only started after P6 SA1 becos of GEP.

DD is taking PSLE next year 2013. This year P5. She is not as strong academically as her brother - slower. So already sent her for math workshop to learn math strategies as math is her weakest. I'm also quite weak in math, so I can't help much and her kor kor loses patience with her easily when she still cannot get it.

DS is settling ok for now. But got worried abt the heavy stuff ds has to learn - like philosophy and research work. The boys have to submit their first proposal about research on some community needs / senior citizens needs if I'm not wrong. They have to come up with more specific areas on the topic for the proposal to be submitted week 5 (which is abt 2 weeks time). How's your ds coping?

Yes, kind of started but find it hard to revise with her because she has lots of homework. Usually will do more of revision during the weekends, when she has more time. She is the lazy sort - always asking for 'homework discount' like can I do 5 fewer questions. If I say no, she'll ask 'how about 3 fewer?' See her attitude lah!

Talking about stress and panic, anyone read TNP yesterday about SCGS primary and their entrance tests for P1 transfer ?

I think that is really stressing the kids .
Nowadays all the kids so smart so the sch has to set papers of certain standard to differentiate them. Besides, i read that it's the only pri sch facilitating transfers at p1. Willing buyer willing seller.Well if the parents can't take such stress juz don't let their precious go through the torture. If you decide to go, must of course prepare the kid well for a tough test. A chance to transfer to an above average sch with affiliation and the parents are complaining about its screening tests. I find it baffling...

Don't worry, you are not alone. But I still have 3 years to fix the problem till the big one.
