ok just saw the form on the p1 p2 parents briefing session. 3 feb (fri) 915 am to 1130 am.

i presume they have it every year? those who experienced it before, anything else to expect apart from subject teachers informing us about "programmes & assessments"?

          hi michyms

to check balance or at least starting amount, can call 6260 0777, its those canned voice machines so 24/7 i think. very easy, just know your dd's bc can already
          http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/faq/

on amount, it is $200 yearly for primary school kids.

jnemummy, my dd had about 6 pages of Maths worksheets and 1 page of handwriting to do… what’s the homework like on typical weekdays?

ohdaddy, thanks for the info. With the PE3 payment and online portal, there really isn’t much left.

KS mum, my dd did that family tree assignment a few days ago… I guess all the teachers are teaching at different pace? The Maths homework that came back over the weekend was neatly placed in a plastic folder with a personal note from the teacher about her marking scheme and expectations for how homework is to be presented and corrected. As for handwriting, they have finished writing A and B.

                      Hi ohdaddy,
Yes, the sch has these parents' briefing every year.

If there are no changes, there'll be a Principal's address in the hall on the sch's expectations & general housekeeping issues.

Parents will then head to their kids' respective classes to meet the form teachers and/or subject teachers. Other than programmes and assessment, the teachers will also share about various approaches to help your kids learn.

If you can't attend, all the powerpoint slides will be uploaded onto the sch's website after the briefing. 😂

                        Hi all P1 parents,

How's your DDs settling into sch after 2 weeks?
Hope they are adapting well. 😉

As for parents, don't worry, checking homework will slowly become second nature to you. Hang in there! :rahrah:
