Eagle-Ladybird:
yeah right, that's a nice dream LOLAbout time this topic is discussed . . yes :goodpost:
I wud luv to be SAHD. I have worked out the whole itinerary for it:
Wake up have my breakfast together with family. Then send kids to school and drop wife to work (since she's a high flyer, she goes to work at 9.30am).
Then, go for a 9-hole golf game with buddies. Then pick the kids up and have lunch at the club. Maid feed them lunch, and I continue with my buddies. Then go for a quick swim with the kids and showers taken care of. Send them home for afternoon nap, and I doze off too (of course, after 2 hours under the sun).
Wake up, send the kids to enrichment classes and I'll meet up with some brothers for coffee. Maybe go to car show rooms, or happy hours :celebrate:
Pick them up from enrichment classes, and pick wifey up as well (since she's a highflyer, she leaves work maybe 5pm). Go for a stroll at the parks, have dinner, and packed them home, ready for bed! They sleep by 9pm, and the rest is history :celebrate:
Sounds alright . . . . or am I getting flame
:siam:
the only good part is i can have beer for breakfast...other than that it's pretty much the same level of busyness as working outside....maybe more

Can't help it....the image of the beer commercial where several buddies screaming at a whole walk-in closet full of beers comes to mind...

My hb is going to be a SAHD for 2 weeks when my maid is going on home leave. I wonder how he'll cope.
He used to do all the housework before we got our maid, but he's starting to get lazy. Worst part is, he does not know my boy's schedule or how to cook his food! I think end up my mum will come over to help cos my mum is skeptical over my hb being a temporary SAHD.
I know I'm not cut out to be a SAHM, so my hb has graciously offered to take leave to look after my boy while I work

maybe his buddies are ladies ... SAHM???[/quote]I always get this impression that male golfers do not like to play with female golfers leh. Can't remember why but it's always been stuck in my head. So, is it true?schellen:

I have discussed this with dh before. If I ever received an expatriate pay including lodging, kids education, health benefits etc and need to station overseas, I take the job and everyone will be coming along. He will be SAHD. As a token of appreciation for his willingness to sacrifice his job, he will take the monthly rental for our current flat.
Only if that situation arise, will I allow him to become SAHD. Otherwise, he is better off at work cause, he is very bad in housekeeping and managing kids welfare. -
I'm a WAHD (Work At Home Dad). Run my little Lone Ranger business from home. We don't have a maid and my wife travels a fair bit so I'm the sole caregiver sometimes. Drops him and wife off at work, school, skating lessons, etc and tries to do my share of housework -- and my own work -- before wifey gets back from work so we can spend more time together as a family in the evening.
School is a short bus ride away so when I have meeting with clients, my kid makes his own way home (and them SMSs me). Just asked him how he feels about me taking a regular salaried job next year since he'll be starting secondary school next year and he said he'd rather I continue to work from home. Will miss having him as my lunch kaki and makan place explorer

My long term plan is to be a SAHD…play chess and tennis with the boys, tend to the garden, paint walls, lacquer furniture, yeah, sound like fun (really!).
