Any mummies here wanna sell or give away the JMC materials for 1st yr course, if you don't want anymore?

Can anyone tell me more abt the jmc test at end of book 4?
Will each of e students be performing in class in front of everyone or it’s really 1-1 examiner? The examiner will be e class teacher herself or other external parties? I m clueless abt tt n wish to find out more n wat do they test in class. Thanks.

Are you referring to FSS? During my kiddo’s time,


1. Playing - play 2 repertoire (choice of electone or piano)
2. Reading - Identify & read notes (limited to the pc played earlier)
3. Singing
4. Memory singing
5. Listening - Identify chords (only 1 series)
6. Creating - play own accompaniment/LH chords

There is no fail or pass - it is just an evaluation ie survey of skills learnt during the 1st 2 years. Results were grouped simply as good, solid and excellent.

No prior preparation required.

From FSS, Yamaha will also select potential candidates to the Yamaha JSAC auditions.

A JSAC teacher and own teacher was be present in FSS then.

Has anyone DS or DD currently in JXC course?
DS is in P4 of JMC currently and am still considering whether to put him next level. He is an average student, needed to push for practicing, cried when practicing new song in book 4. Am wondering can he cope in JXC? The investment is heavy cos we need to buy electron for him.
Any advise?

For Yamaha JMC, do we have to get the designated keyboard that the school uses?

Also, any idea when the Yamaha at kovan open?
Heard is undergoing massive Reno. Can’t seem to reach anyone when I call.
