      smartmummy:
      711mum:

      Good morning mummies,

I have set rules for dd since beginning of P3 so she knows she has to complete her daily task before she comes to me for her computer time, so far so good :xedfingers: but once she is on the computer, she tends to forget about the time... :slapshead:

Its very difficult to get my son out of the computer. So now I said cannot see in the weakdays.Only weekends. He agreed.Today is the first day.I am not sure how he will react.Without computer he always said I am boaring. He can read books.other than that he siad nothing to do.I bought many board games. He said now don't want to play.I told him to play outside for two hrs.I have to strict.I teach him in computer when he is very young 2-3.Every time he woke up from bed he saw I was on the computer.I think he become interest on comp cos of me.I like to play games and use computer.I know one of my friends, she never use computer her son also doesn't like to use long hrs.She said he will be boaring faster and left the computer faster. Now after my son's experience,I don't encourage my DD2 to see/learn in computer.

so today is his first day off computer on weekdays? do not give in to his demands ok? you must be firm.
my husband uses computer right from after dinner to the bedtime, but we have strict rules on computer usage for our kids. they have so much to do (homework, lego, craft, books) that even when i included in 20min ipad time, it already eats into bedtime. i had told him i am cutting down it further if he can't squeeze time out from other places like eat faster during dinner (my ds1 is a slow eater!! typically my ds2 takes 20min to finish dinner but ds1 can tke up to an hour!. ds2 can finish dinner, finish ipad and finish piano practice...during ds1's dinner time! :faint:)

Thanks jedamum for ur encouragement.I think I stopped the computer hrs in weekdays end of P1 as he wore the spectackles. Then I talked to his ET in I can read.He didn’t motivate to study without computer time. She said some parents give 15 mins in the weekdays like divide the one hr in the weekend. Then I started to give 15mins.But the 15 mins comes to one hr.Now I told him,I can’t let u to see computer for the eye care.Sometimes he took up more than an hr.Its very frustrting everytime get him out of the computer.

Sometimes he played with lego and transformer toys.I think his study time very less.I told him ur marks are very as mummy listen to u.Now u listen to me then only the marks go up.In P5 can go to standard course.I will be firm.

                  Hi Just4Fun,
We'll be going on Royal Carribean. Its a cruise to Penang/ malacca and we paid $899 each ( children same price too). For CNY, the surcharges we pay is usually $200 to $300 more, but this is the only time we can spend quality time with DH. He's a sole proprietor and that's the time he can close shop.

                  Happy New Year to you.
