Barring any changes, we'll probably be letting her stay here all the way. Too stressful to look for a good childcare and then having to go thru the adaptation process again :?

      Me too...same thots 😎

Really grateful to have found this thread.

I am gonna enrol my kids into Pat’s Halifax.
But got one concern… abt fetching them from school.
Got to take school bus, but the bus fee is very expensive $200 one way per child… if i have two kids going there, that’s $400!
how do u all settle the transport? u pick ur own?

Hmm... sounds like daylight robbery... what do they have in the bus? Movies and in-flight service?

              Wow...

Am not using school bus. Am the bus driver. Chose Halifax coz it's relatively close to town, therefore work place...drop b4 work, pick after work... 😉

By the way, is the $200 charged due to one-way only (normally, it’s only a little increase to get 2-way) and also due to the distance from school?

I'm now contemplating school bus too 😞 Now that dd has moved over to the \"real\" childcare side, they do not serve dinner, and by the time we get home and finish with her dinner, it's already 9pm. Furthermore, dd is not a fast eater...food in, chew, chew, talk, talk, 5 mins later food is still in mouth

So I thought of school bus to send her my mum's house for dinner and then we pick her up on our way home.

Lucky you. I've got no one to serve kiddo dinner...

Not a confirmed plan yet, as I’ve not talked to my mum about it yet. Ever since my dad passed on, my mum seldom cooks as my brother buys dinner back. So it will be kinda troublesome for her to cook just for my girl. Also not keen to impose on her as she’s already 73.

So how have you been coping with your boy’s dinner this week ?

Normally, he's a junk kid. We pick him up after work, go ta-bao dinner, and try to give him some. Even on weekends, we normally eat out...so as and when we can, we find fish porridge for him...else, it would be the usual fried rice blah blah... 😞
