        Hi Always21,

You can’t expect alot of improvement in music in preschool. I still sent my son for Yamaha JMC. Tt’s nice that the school has violin and pianica and the kids perform simple pieces for the year end concert. Still dont’ expect the classes to be enough if you really want to see progress. For Chinese classes, I sent DS to berries in K1 as what’s being taught is not enough. But the school gave good exposure to chinese but if you’re talking about P1 readiness especially in our current school environment, Berries or Tien Hsia is the way to go!

Thank you. I am asking that as I am comparing with Newton kindergarten. My first child studied there and he is doing very well now at P3. But Newton k is farther so I am thinking of putting my girl to a school nearer. My boy is grade 5 now. He learnt at k2. And attend Jiang only at p1.

              Hi Always21

Looking at the feedback from the Newton thread, it seem very popular and well received. Most important thing is that your first child can do very well in primary school. At least you know how the end result will be like.

I might have tried for Newton over Arts Kidz if I have know about it. Hehe

                Hi TiggerMummy,

I sent DS to Berries and Yamaha JMC at K1. He’s still at Berries but I stopped JMC after finishing Book3 as he was progressing ahead of other kids and thought he was ready for one-on-one piano teacher. So I got a teacher to come to my home and indeed he’s making good progress.

I have to rely on my helper to do it. Though it is not the most ideal, that’s the best we can do with. We have looked around the child care in Tiong Bahru area, but we personally still prefer Arts Kidz even though the timing is off.

On the brighter side, I feel that with the shorter timing it works better for my baby as it is not so tiring for him.

                        Hi Beanbear!

Glad to noe someone whose kid graduated fr ArtKidz.

DD3 currently in ArtKidz.... I like ArtKidz but am concern how their graduates cope with local sch....How is your DS3 coping with P1... guess it may be a bit early to tell since primary sch just started the academic year....but anything you can share pls....thks

I totally agree with you on the \"Singlish\" part....DH just mentioned that DD3 hardly speak any Singlish! 😄
